Grouping Shapes

Group multiple shapes to create a drawing group.

  1. Point [Drawing Group] on [Edit] menu, and click [Group].
  2. Click shapes to be grouped in order while pressing Shift key on the keyboard.
    The number of shapes selected will be displayed in [Shape] parameter on Command Window.
  3. After finishing the selection, press Enter key on the keyboard, or click on the toolbar on Command Window.
    "Grouping N Shapes are complete." message will be displayed on the status bar.
  4. Selected shapes will be grouped, and a drawing group will be created.
Supplemental
▪ Shapes on different sheets of paper or part drawings cannot be grouped.
▪ Images and OLE objects cannot be grouped.
▪ Turn on [Select Group] on the toolbar when selecting multiple grouped shapes all at once.
