Creating Line Tangent to Two Shapes

Select two shapes located on the drawing to create a line tangent to these shapes.
Selectable shapes are circles, arcs, ellipses, and elliptical arcs.

  1. Point [Line] on [Shape] menu, and click [2-Tangent Line].
    Then you will be able to create a 2-tangent line.
    2. Supplemental
    ▪ You can enter into the 2-tangent line creating status by clicking on [Shape] toolbar.
  2. Click the first shape.
    Moving the cursor displays a rubber band (temporally displayed shape) of a 2-tangent line that can be created according to the cursor position.
  3. At the position where the rubber band for 2-tangent line to be created is displayed, click the second shape.
    A 2- tangents line will be created.
