Creating Arc Tangent to Two Shapes
Select two shapes located on the drawing to create an arc tangent to these shapes.
Selectable shapes are lines, polylines, infinite lines, rays, circles, arcs, ellipses, elliptical arcs and B-Splines.
- Point [Arc] on [Shape] menu, and click [2-Tangent Arc].
Then you will be able to create a 2-tangent arc.

You can enter into the 2-tangent arc creating status by clicking on [Shape] toolbar. |
- Click the first shape.
- Click the second shape.
- Specify the through point or the radius of a 2-tangent arc.
When specifying the through point
Switch the parameter on Command Window to [Through Point] box, and click the through point of a 2-tangent arc on the drawing.
When specifying a radius length
Input the length of the radius of the 2-tangent arc in [Radius] box on Command Window.
Moving the cursor on the drawing displays a rubber band (temporally displayed shape) of a 2-tangent arc that can be created according to the cursor position.
- Click the position (select point) where a rubber band for 2-tangent arc to be created is displayed.
A 2-tangent arc will be created at the position where the rubber band is displayed.
