Creating Relative Point
Create a point by inputting relative coordinates from the specified base point.
The following 3 methods can be used to create a relative point.
- Specify the "Base Point," "Length X axially" and "Length Y axially" for the relative point.
- Specify the "Base Point," "Length," and "Direction Point."
- Specify the "Base Point," "Length," and "Angle."
To display a command parameter to be executed, click / of command parameters, or press Tab key or ← / → key on the keyboard.
- Point [Point] on [Shape] menu, and click [Relative Point].
Then you will be able to create a relative point. - Click the base point on the drawing.

When specifying the distance along X and Y axes from the base point
- Input a distance along X axis from the base point in [Length X axially] box on Command Window.
- Input a distance along Y axis from the base point in [Length Y axially] box on Command Window.
A relative point according to the distances from the base point will be created.
When specifying the length and direction point from the base point
- Input a distance from the base point in [Length] box on Command Window.
- Switch to [Direction Point] box on Command Window, and click a direction for which a relative point is to be created.
A relative point will be created according to the length and direction point.
When specifying the length and angle from the base point
- Input the distance from the base point in [Length] box on Command Window.
- Input an angle in [Angle] box on Command Window.
A relative point according to the length and angle from the base point will be created.
