Creating Horizontal Line

The following 3 methods can be used to create a horizontal line.

To display a command parameter to be executed, click / of command parameters, or press Tab key or ← / → key on the keyboard.

  1. Point [Line] on [Shape] menu, and click [Horizontal Line].
    Then you will be able to create a horizontal line.
    2. Supplemental
    ▪ You can enter into the horizontal line creating status by clicking on [Shape] toolbar.
  2. Click the start point of a horizontal line on the drawing.

When specifying the end point of a horizontal line

  1. Switch the parameter on Command Window to [End Point] box, and click the end point of a horizontal line on the drawing.
    A horizontal line connecting the start and end points will be created.
    2. Supplemental
    ▪ Even when the Y coordinate at the end point differs from that at the start point, a horizontal line with the same coordinate value as that for the start point will be automatically created.

When specifying the length of a horizontal line

  1. Input a distance from the start point in [(Length)] box on Command Window.
  2. Click the end point of a horizontal line on the drawing.
    A horizontal line with a specified length will be created toward the through point direction.
    3. Supplemental
    ▪ Even when the coordinate value for Y axis at the through point differs from that at the start point, a horizontal line with the same coordinate value as that for the start point will be automatically created.

When selecting the intersection with other shape as the end point of a horizontal line

  1. Switch the parameter on Command Window to [Shape] box, and click a shape to be used as the end point on the drawing.
    A horizontal line ending at the intersection with the selected shape will be created.
    If there are multiple intersections with the selected shape, an intersection close to the clicked position will be used as the end point.

▪ Point [Line] on the [Shape] menu. and then click [Horizontal and Vertical Lines] or click on [Shape] toolbar will enable creating a horizontal line with the Horizontal and Vertical Lines command. When using the Horizontal and Vertical Lines command, either a horizontal or vertical line will be created depending on the coordinates of the end or through point.
▪ You can specify the start point, end point and through point by inputting coordinates for X and Y axes in [Start Point], [End Point] and [Through Point] boxes on Command Window.
