Paper, Part Drawing, and Part Drawing Layout
In RootPro CAD, one drawing can contain multiple sheets of paper or multiple part drawings.
Paper shows a print image when output to a printer. All shapes including lines, circles, texts, dimensions, and drawing components can be created on paper. Part drawings can be also located on paper by scaling or specifying an area.
Part drawing shows a drawing in an actual size. All shapes including lines, circles, texts, dimensions, and drawing components can also be created on part drawings. Part drawings created in an actual size can be located on paper by scaling or specifying an area. A part drawing located on paper is called as a part drawing layout.
RootPro CAD can locate multiple pat drawing layouts on one sheet of paper, which enables a mix of shapes with different scales by using part drawing layouts.
Locating part drawings
There are various methods to locate part drawings on paper.
Locating one part drawing on multiple sheets of paper
It is possible to locate a part drawing in the same conditions on multiple sheets of paper, or to locate it by modifying a position, angle, locate scale, etc. by sheet of paper.
Locating a multiple number of the same part drawing on one sheet of paper
It is possible to locate a multiple number of the same drawing on one sheet of paper, or locate them by modifying a position, angle, locate scale, etc.
Locating part drawing by specifying an area
It is possible to locate a part drawing partially by specifying an area. Scales or locate angles for the X and Y axes in the specified area can be also specified.
