Select a shape located on the drawing to create a circle tangent to the shape.
Selectable shapes are lines, polylines, infinite lines, rays, circles, arcs, ellipses, elliptical arcs and B-Splines.
The following 3 methods can be used to create a 1-tangent circle.
- Select a "shape" to be used as a base, and specify "center point" and "select point" of a 1-tangent circle to be created.
- Select a "shape" to be used as a base, and specify "through point 1," "through point 2," and "select point" of a 1-tangent circle to be created.
- Select a "shape" to be used as a base, and specify "through point," "radius," and "select point" of a 1-tangent circle to be created.

When specifying the center point of a 1-tangent circle
- Switch the parameter on Command Window to [Center Point] box, and click the center point of a 1-tangent circle on the drawing.
Move the cursor on the drawing to display a rubber band (temporally displayed shape) for a 1-tangent circle to be created according to the cursor position. - Click the position (select point) where a rubber band for 1-tangent circle to be created is displayed.
A 1-tangent circle will be created at the position where the rubber band is displayed.
When specifying two through points
- Switch the parameter on Command Window to [Through Point 1] box, and click the first through point of a 1-tangent circle on the drawing.
- Click the second through point of a 1-tangent circle on the drawing.
Moving the cursor on the drawing displays a rubber band (temporally displayed shape) of a 1-tangent circle that can be created according to the cursor position. - Click the position (select point) where a rubber band for 1 tangents circle to be created is displayed.
A 1-tangent circle will be created at the position where the rubber band is displayed.
Specifying the through point and radius
- Switch the parameter on Command Window to [Through Point] box, and click the first through point of a 1-tangent circle on the drawing.
- Input the length of the radius of a 1-tangent circle in [Radius] box on Command Window.
The radius of the 1-tangent circle will be specified.
Moving the cursor on the drawing displays a rubber band (temporally displayed shape) of a 1-tangent circle that can be created according to the cursor position. - Click the position (select point) where a rubber band for 1-tangent circle to be created is displayed.
A 1-tangent circle will be created at the position where the rubber band is displayed.
